God's heart for the nations

I've been really fortunate to have had a variety of experiences during and after college which have transformed the way I view the world. I'm still in the midst of that today, and I don't know where I'm headed, but a look at where I've been helps me as I think about the future.

Boston Urban Internships & Project Destiny

In the summer of 1997, I lived in Dorchester, Massachusetts, in community with 14 brothers and sisters. During the day I worked at Project Destiny, a summer camp in Chinatown sponsored by the Boston Chinese Evangelical Church, and at night we met to learn about life in the city. Here are some prayer letters that I wrote before, during, and after the summer.

    LMC: Lowell Mission Church

During Spring Break 2000, AACF juniors and seniors took the "plunge." A team of six students plus a bunch of random others went to Lowell, MA, to work with the Lowell Mission Church, to find out a little more about what urban life is like, and to be challenged in our thinking about how to live lives of faith. It was a wonderful time where I made many friends and was very sad to leave.

    Global Project: Xinjiang, China

In the summer of 2000, I went with a team of students from all over the country to Western China as part of a lingua-cultural exchange. We taught English and modeled the love of Jesus to the students with whom we worked. And, of course, God changed me.
